SKRIVNOST OTOKA 3. del

Obrnila sem se proti stari gospe. Čudno se mi je zdelo, zakaj me je sploh ona našla, saj se mi še predstavila ni!? Pa tudi jaz se ji nisem. »Moje ime je Anny, verjetno me že poznaš, ko si poklicala moje ime. Kako je pa tebi ime? Kako poznaš moje ime?« Sem od radovednosti vprašala. Sicer pa sem bila tisti trenutek malo bolj resna.

»Moje ime je Amanda. Amanda Johnson. Na otoku morja Angles sem že več let. Preučujem razne stvari, zadeve, odkritja… Ko sem te blizu moje koče našla nemočno. Vedela sem, da bo Arthur nekoč dobil novo žrtev, a nisem vedela, zakaj,« je dejala. Privzdignila sem obrv. Zajela sem sapo, nato pa poslušala naprej. Ravnokar sem jo hotela vprašati, kdo je Arthur, ko mi je vse razjasnila. »Arthur je človek. Pol človek pol žival. V njem se skriva kanček zlobe. Nekateri ga kličejo pod imenom Arthurjev bes,« je dokončala. Izdihnila sem zrak svežega morja. Zdaj sem si v glavi začela govoriti. »Anny, vse je v redu, nič se ti ne more zgoditi,« a zaradi prepričanja v to, da se mi bo še marsikaj na poti do razkritja, kdo sta moja starša prikazal Arthur, sem bila še vedno preplašena.

Minil je en teden. Sonce je bilo glasno. Že ptički, katerih je bilo malo na otoku, so žvrgoleli, da bi se morala odpraviti. Nisem bila prepričana v to, da sem še pripravljena. Ne, nisem. In ne vem, če si bom tako hitro premislila. Nisem vedela, koliko časa bom še zdržala na tem otoku. Preveč me je sililo, da bi več izvedela o svojih starših.
