In a small village, not too far away, there once lived a little girl named Elena. She lived in a small house on the river bank with her parents. Her father, Matthias, was a country gentleman and worked at an academy in a city not too far away. Her mother, after whom she inherited her first name, worked as a nurse in the village clinic and dedicated her time to helping people in finantial need by working in a soup kitchen during her hours off work.

Overall they were very well respected accross the villages and towns in the country side. They weren't poor either as their house, allthough small, was decorated quite poshly with polished wooden floors, large paintings and tapestries depicting scenes of The Divine Comedy, The Bible, The Song of Roland and other fine works the house master fancied, fine porcelain vases, depicting lush green landscapes and beautiful men with their peerless maidens, basking and bathing their skyclad bodies in golden rays of the painted suns, just like the house master's wife liked them to be but the thing every person who stepped trough the threshold of the house admired, was the large collection of historical objects displayed all troughout it. Since Matthias was a well respected historian and archeologist at the academy, he could easely pull some strings and secure the artifacts collected at excavation sites for himself and display them in his home.

Matthias and his wife were also very social and devoted to their faith. They had built their own chapel next to their house, where Elena was baptized, and often donated money to their church. They also organized parties for other noble men and their families who lived in the country side with lavish dishes, the seetest desserts and the finest teas you could get. But amongst all of their fortunes the thing they cherished the most was their daughter, Elena.

Since she was little, Elena was a reclouse. She spent most of her time studying poetry and reading philosofical stories in the books her parents bought her. When she started school, all her classmates would look at her weirdly and excluded her but she didn't mind, as she found the best company with herself and her books.

At first her parents tried to find a solution to their daughter's social struggle and invited her peers, the children of other country gentlemen like Matthias, to come to play with her but it was in vain. They had no common points with Elena and just ended up exclouding her and playing with eachother instead. As a last stitch effort, her parents looked into reschooling Elena, to a school for talented children. And so, from a family friend, they found out about Green Fiels Prepartory School.

Green field was a boarding school, located a few hours away from the village. It had a reputation for being the school most scholars and diplomats attended in their youth and having a notoriously hard curriculum and entry exam. It housed around 600 students in it's main school house, which was a renovated 200 year old manor, while the boarding houses were two renovated barn houses. It also had it's own church, where students could attend Sunday school. But the most famous aspect of Green Field, that made it the top choice for noble men sending their children to school, was The Eden Program.

The Eden Program was a special program, unique to Green Field, with the hardest curriculum in the country, reserved for the best of the best students at the school. Children were able to apply to the program in the month of November. For a student to even be considered by the school board to join the program, theyneeded to be recommended by a teacher working at the board. They would then be interviewed and if they passed, they would then take The Eden Entry Exam, one of the most difficult exams a student could take at the time. If the student scored above 70 points they'd be officially enrolled in The Eden Program.

Students in The Eden Program got plenty of perks, such as having a separate dormitory located in the main school house, only having to share their dorms with one student, instead of the usual three, having a separate area in the dining hall and having a separate Study hall all to themselves with a garden attached to it to do their studies away from the other students.

"I think this ought to be the right next step" said Matthias to his wife.
"It might just be." his wife said.
