dear parents!
you don't need to say "In my times" every five minutes. I had to learn in school about "Your times" and we are not in those times anymore. beauty standards have changed, woman and LGBTQIA+ rights have changed, social media has changed, bullying has changed... you DON'T know what it's like to be a teenager in 21st century. you can't be interested in anything without being made fun of, you have to have JUST the right weight, if you dare to say that not all ppl have same rights everyone's gonna make fun of you, if you don't have the right social media you won't have friends... and you don't need to tell me your opinion over and over again when I'm making a decision, cause I don't need to be a mini version of you. so you can stop trying to make my decisions by your opinion, you can stop trying to change my style and hobbies, you can stop trying to change what kind of person I am. Cause you know what? today's society will never be okay with WHOLE you, there will always be one part of me that someone won't like. so I don't care if you want me to change. I will tell ppl that I'm quarter Spanish, I won't care if they don't like Spain. I will write stories, I won't care if someone thinks they're bad, I will read a lot, I won't care if people call me a nerd, I will have my own style and won't care if people call me a boy, I'm gonna love boys and girls and I won't care if people say that I'm not valid, cause I know, that I am and I don't need other people to know that too
and so should everyone that's reading this. be who you are. why? cause that's the type of you that can rule the world.
